Starting February 1, 2026, if you don't have a REAL ID or other acceptable ID (like a passport) at a TSA checkpoint, you can pay a $45 Confirm.ID fee for an alternative identity verification, valid for 10 days, to fly, avoiding delays, though it's best to get your REAL ID to skip the fee and hassle. How it Works Pay the Fee: You can pay the $45 fee online before your flight via a TSA portal or at marked locations at the airport. Undergo Verification: You'll complete the TSA Confirm.ID process.

When departing from an US Port and returning to an US Port you may use either; Passport or Real ID & Birth Certificate.
For international cruises you must have a Valid US Passport that has been issued at least 6 months before travel date and have 3 or more open pages. You will also have to see if you need a Travel Visa for the countries you are visiting. https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/
